Thank you to all the new families who attended our Open House on March 13. We were so glad to meet you, answer your questions, and hear the reasons why you are considering Valor. We are so grateful to be able to give families the opportunity for a Christian education for their High Schoolers and Middle Schoolers.
Ireland Egan (Grade 8), Faith Schmidt (Grade 10), and Caleb Reid (Grade 11) shared how Valor has helped them grow. Here are some snippets from their speeches.

Ireland: "Valor has helped me grow in so many different ways. It has helped me to stretch to excellence and achieve my goals to be a better student. I love how Valor has amazing academic standards and helps us to learn and grow in the subjects we struggle in. This school is amazing at helping young people grow closer to Christ and become victorious Christian adults. Valor has been so amazing for me and my education. I have learned so much through it and I love going there."

Faith: "This is my first year at Valor Christian School, I have really enjoyed the community that it brings; being surrounded everyday by like minds and being able to learn the way that God has intended us to learn. I love how we not only have subjects that grow our minds like other schools but also subjects that teach us valuable life skills that we will need regardless of what we do after high school, like Rhetoric & Logic. I have also really enjoyed being able to grow my faith in my Bible class, Apologetics, and learn how to defend my faith in the secular world we live in."

Caleb: "Valor was one of the first times I truly was able to talk about Jesus freely, no judgment, no backlash, no weird looks, no weird looks, it was weird. That was the best way I could describe it, it was just weird. I have to give a lot of credit to my Bible teacher that first year, Mr. Hammer, I truly believe God used him to open new doors to trust and faith in God I never had opened before. He went over a lot of trials that Christians might face in their lives throughout his class, some of which deeply applied to me, but he told us a way to connect with God and seek help, that answer was the Bible, the most simple and easiest answer to give any struggling Christian the answers to their problems, yet I never took it seriously. That year I started reading the Bible daily, praying daily, treating God as a friend and not just as the “break in case of an emergency” case on walls. I truly believe last year, a so-called sin filled shade was removed from my eyes. God called me to this school, and as fearful as I was, as nervous as I was, I answered His call, and guess what happened, although it didn't happen over night, I was completely transformed from the inside out, the way I carried myself, changed, the way I talked, changed, my friend group, changed, my goals, changed, and all for the better. Valor has provided me with the best high school experience I could have ever asked for, real, good, true friends, a real good, true relationship with teachers, and best of all, a real, good, true relationship with God."
